In the early spring of 2023, I was commissioned to paint a mural in the hallway of the Roger Willams Park Botanical Center. 

 

The Director wanted a bright, plant-centric mural that can also be easily touched up if anything bangs up against it.

Inspired by the massive Bismarck Palm in the main Greenhouse (in the photo) and the smaller bromeliads that line some of the paths, I set out to create a repeated pattern that turns these two plants into a more linear/Art Deco representation of them.
